In a very long meeting which ended shortly after 9pm last night, the Board of Selectmen did NOT make a decision on charter revision proposals. Instead they voted to send the proposed revisions back to the commission for clarification on several issues including how they decided to recommend a town manager form of government, and details on the first selectman’s compensation. They also asked them to re-evaluate their decision to recommend doing away with the economic development commission and create a culture commission, and to reconsider combining the planning and zoning commissions. If you did NOT see the meeting LIVE last night, read more about it in the Hartford Courant this morning . The meeting will be posted on SCTV’s website Simsburytv.org later today. Check the schedule for future TV air dates. Watch the meeting to also see the update on the senior center and the Betty Hudson property.
